I believe I have the rights to oppose anyone I think is unfit at the steward confirmation next year (if that's what you called a threat). "Please consider this a fair and final warning that we will take due action if you continue to be hostile to the global volunteer community who is trying to help." Oh I'm so scared (sarcasm)! HAAAAA! I'm waiting to see what you can do to me. Please don't let me wait for a long time. Nguyentrongphu (thảo luận) 04:19, ngày 13 tháng 5 năm 2016 (UTC)Trả lời

"While we appreciate your contribution to this project, please be mindful and respectful about the fact that viwiktionary is part of the global wikimedia community and is required to play by the rules and guidelines set forth by the foundation." I welcome contributions from anyone to this project but not admins' actions. Become an admin here if you want to do admins' action here. How many times I need to repeat that eh? I see that as a violation of local affairs. If you want to help, go head and help with writing new contents. Oh wait, you can't help with that because you don't know Vietnamese. So go learn Vietnamese then come back to help this project. I'm sure there are rules and guidelines that discourage stewards and global sysops from interfering with local affairs. That's why there is an opt out option. Blame meta for not allowing me to opt out.
"Such threats and lobbying is fruitless." Fruitless or not. We'll see. I don't care. If even my friends' votes are not counted. At least my vote will be counted. And let me remind you, I lose nothing by trying. And if you guys are stubborn and want to do the work for me, I lose nothing either. I win either way. You are always welcome to have your opinion. However, when working with a community, you should realize that it is not always about you. It is about the larger goal and your words does not exactly come across as if you understands the principles. You can stop threatening about your votes in the process and all, and I welcome you to act and not talk about acting. --Jyothis (thảo luận) 13:33, ngày 13 tháng 5 năm 2016 (UTC)Trả lời
Keep in mind that I'm only talking about admins' actions such as deleting or blocking users (content contributions are welcomed). I don't actually see any larger goal being accomplished by having stewards and global sysops do admins' actions here. What is the point of local admins if stewards and global sysops would interfere? Again, there is a guideline I saw somewhere before that discourage stewards and global sysops from interfering with local affairs. I don't see why is it so hard for you guys "not" to interfere? None of this would happen if they allow me to opt out in the first place. And it was all due to some stupid restrictions that I cannot change. You want a perfect solution for this? How about you make an exception to allow this project to opt out even though it doesn't have enough active users? EVERYTHING can have an exception. Then I don't think we would ever have to worry about something like this ever again. Problem solved, and everyone would be happy including you and me.
I don't believe there is any larger goal involving in this interference. If there was, I would make a concession. I'm all for the "greater goods of the people" ONLY if it is indeed for the greater goods. And you're badly mistaken if you think this is about me. This is about the sovereignty of this project! The idea encompasses something that is much much bigger than me! This is the spirit of the Vietnamese people (we want to govern ourselves without outsiders' interferences). I'm making a generalization here since 99.99% users in Vi projects are Vietnamese. Of course, foreigners are welcomed to help, and they can help with admins' stuffs when they actually become a local admin here. It's simple as that.
And you want to talk about etiquette? Let see what they have called me: colonial system, childish, chauvinism, and so on... And I feel like you guys are the ones who try to escalate this, 3 on 1. I was just making a simple request. Is the request too hard really? And I don't think I'm being hostile toward anyone nor do I violate any Wiki's guidelines. Everything I said or can do is totally within the rights that I have on all Wiki projects (these rights apply to all of us, not just me: such as the right to oppose anyone one wishes to oppose). I don't think I'm not etiquette when I want to oppose someone. It's quite common to see people oppose other people. That has nothing to do with etiquette or civility. And hypothetically speaking, if this community is big enough to opt out, I'm very confident that this community will decide to opt out because no one likes interferences from outsiders. Nguyentrongphu (thảo luận) 01:58, ngày 14 tháng 5 năm 2016 (UTC)Trả lời
Heh - I think you are still pulling we vs outsiders here. My recommendation is to learn that this, and you are part of the bigger wikimedia family and echo system. Unless the project is large enough to self manage, you may see people trying to help out. So, why don't you try to get a bigger community to start with? :) --Jyothis (thảo luận) 01:29, ngày 19 tháng 5 năm 2016 (UTC)Trả lời
I have the same question for you. Why don't you try to allow this Wiki to opt out? And frankly speaking, I see no benefits with receiving occasional help from stewards or global sysops. I simply don't need any help from outside. I'm 100% confident that I can handle EVERYTHING within this Wiktionary and welcome new local admins (should there be any).
"So, why don't you try to get a bigger community to start with?" You think I don't want this? I would love it if this community is bigger, so I don't have to argue with you right now and could have just opted out. However, this is not something I can do. I can't force other people to contribute to this Wiktionary. Have you heard of the phrase "easy said than done." In reality, it's really damn hard! That explains why there are a lot of small Wikis around with 1-2 people taking care of it. If recruiting people is easy, you wouldn't see that happens. I say, you make an exception to this Wiki is a MUCH easier solution than me trying to recruit many more people then try to opt out. You see, I have offered you the easiest solution. Now, it's up to you to accept it or not. Nguyentrongphu (thảo luận) 02:21, ngày 19 tháng 5 năm 2016 (UTC)Trả lời
