Với nghĩa này thì chỗ ra lệnh trên "console screen" là chổ để người dùng máy liên lạc trực tiếp với hệ điều hành hay hệ thống thì nên dịch là trình giao tiếp/diện hay trình giao diện hệ thống

Như vậy gián tiếp Micorsoft thừa nhận rằng shell đồng nghĩa với command interpreter của một hệ điều hành .

Trường hợp này nên dịch là trình bao

Ý kiến cá nhân: LĐ không thích chữ trình bao lắm nhưng nếu dùng trong các loại văn lệnh như BASH, Korn SHELL, CSH và các loại bên Windows như là WSH (Windows Scripting Host) thì nên dịch là "trình bao" hơn là trình giao tiếp

Nghĩa ít dùng hơn
