Hello
[sửa]I'm asking you with my respect that leave any sysop's actions that needed to take for the local sysops to manage. We, Vietnamese people, never want to rely on other people to do our jobs. It is our strong tradition that we want to do our own stuffs and don't like others to interfere. I understand you probably have good intention but sorry to say we don't need it. - I think you're mistaken between contribution and admins' actions. I welcome him to contribute contents to Vi Wiktionary if he can. Admins' actions are for local admins to take care of. Global sysops and stewards should not interfere with other projects when there are local admins that can do it. It's not within your authority to interfere. I have a feeling you're here because of RadiX? You haven't responded to my message for almost 4 years...
- "That means anyone is allowed to contribute the way they are able to do, without any restriction in terms of nationality." I'm not restricting to any nationality. I'm not denying he is part of the greater meta community. However, RadiX is for sure not part of this community. Try to become an admin here first before he does admins' actions.
- "We, Vietnamese people, never want to rely on other people to do our jobs." I'm saying this because 99.99% of the users in Vi Wikipedia are Vietnameses. There are exceptions, but it's very rare. Since it's 99.99% Vietnamese, the tradition does apply, so there is no fallacy here. What fallacy is your statement about your colonial system. Interfering with other people's business sounds a lot more like colonial system to me.
- It's funny how you talk about colonial. Last time I remember the European people (including Italians) were the ones who colonized the world, not the Vietnamese! We never colonize anyone.
- In the end, you're right I can't prevent him from continue to interfere as I have already said that. However, you cannot stop me and my friends from opposing you both at the steward confirmation next year should you guys continue to interfere. And I could be careless if he continues to do the work for me. It's a win-win situation for me. HAAAA! Nguyentrongphu (thảo luận) 07:59, ngày 12 tháng 5 năm 2016 (UTC)
- I understood your statement perfectly. Interference from outsiders are exactly what colonial system is! I'm here to simply warn you against interfere to projects where there are local admins to take care of.
- "You're dealing with people-you-say-cannot-act-here as they were sort of colonialists." You can act here with normal contributions. To act here as an admin, first become an admin here. It's simply enough that I don't think I need to repeat myself again.
- "is thís something I'm supposed to be scared of?" Maybe, maybe not. We'll see. If you continue to make enemies across all projects. It's likely you won't get to keep your steward position by next year. Maybe our votes will make a difference, maybe not. It doesn't hurt me to try though, but it "may" hurt you. And it doesn't hurt me either if you guys are being stubborn and continue to do the work for me.
- "And I could be careless if he continues to do the work for me. It's a win-win situation for me." I'm afraid you don't understand this statement because your English sucks. Oh well, I don't care if you understand me or not. I'm not here to teach English. We can agree to disagree. And this point, there is no point to argue anymore. You either agree to not interfere or not. Either case, I don't care. I hope you make a right choice. Nguyentrongphu (thảo luận) 20:23, ngày 12 tháng 5 năm 2016 (UTC)
- I think you're missing the point. It's not about being "cool" or not. The fact is this community can take care of itself WITHOUT any outsider's help. I hate to see outsiders' interferences. This is not personal to you. I have been telling ALL stewards and global sysops to back off for many years. This is the last time I'm going to state this: you're welcomed to contribute contents, but become an admin here first before you can do admins' action here. I can assure you that there are plenty of people like me across all projects who hate to see interference. If anything, you should blame meta for not allowing this community to opt out (they don't allow opt out because this community doesn't have enough active users. It's a really stupid rule! There is nothing I can do about that). If only they allow that, none of this would happen. Opt out option is for those people like me who hate outsiders' interference. If they don't let me use that option then too bad, I have to do it manually. Nguyentrongphu (thảo luận) 00:12, ngày 13 tháng 5 năm 2016 (UTC)
- "Indeed you think it's cool since you're trying bullying stewards in a very childish way." Again, I don't think it's cool, and I'm not going to repeat that again. I'm not bullying anyone. Interference to local affair is not a nice thing to do either. I make a request, and if you comply, everyone would be happy. Problem solved.
- "What do you call "interference" is generally accepted everywhere." Except where they have opted out.
- "I cannot let you harass anyone." I'm not harassing anyone. It's your choice to call it harassment. I view it as a simple request. Is it too hard to do really?
- "You can obviously have your personal views about it but you already ran out of legit ways to pursue your view since this wiki is too small for opt out." How is it my fault that this wiki is too small to opt out? Now, you're trying to blame me for something I have no control over?
- Do it manually means I have to ask every single steward and global sysop who come here not to interfere with admins' actions. You think I enjoy wasting my time making such request? I have better things to do than doing this. You want a solution where everyone is happy? Make an exception for this wiki, allow it to opt out. Then I promise you we will never have to deal with this problem ever again. Nguyentrongphu (thảo luận) 01:20, ngày 14 tháng 5 năm 2016 (UTC)
- I can say the same thing. You don't "have to interfere," but you choose to do it (and you haven't been civil either). Interference to other local affairs is discouraged according to guidelines. And I can use the same logic as you: your interference is like bullying to this project. Yes, you don't have to comply to my request, but if you don't then you force me to do my last option (which is opposing you in the future). I don't understand what you mean by "forking"? I read it up and see that it's very irrelavent to this. And like I said, allow this Wiki to opt out then we'll be cool for once and for all. Fine, I may have misunderstood "opt-out" option. However, here is the COMPROMISE. If you guys allow this Wiki to opt out, I will NOT ask stewards to not interference again. At least, I don't have to deal with global sysops anymore, and there is no effective way to prevent stewards from interfering. Nguyentrongphu (thảo luận) 02:17, ngày 17 tháng 5 năm 2016 (UTC)
- The fact that you think this is a game means you are very immature. And good job claiming you were not being uncivil. Don't try to teach me how to be wise. Are you even wise yourself? I have no wish to discuss any further with you. I'm done talking. Nguyentrongphu (thảo luận) 00:42, ngày 30 tháng 5 năm 2016 (UTC)
