Tham số

[sửa]

If the adjective forms its comparative and superlative with the particles more and most, no parameters are necessary. E.g. on “beautiful”:

eng-adj

The above code displays as follows: beautiful (so sánh hơn more beautiful, so sánh nhất most beautiful)

If the adjective forms its comparative and superlative by adding -er and -est, specify that with the argument er, e.g. on “tall”:

er gives:

tall (so sánh hơn taller, so sánh nhất tallest)

If the adjective forms its comparative and superlative by changing its ending (e.g., by dropping its -y to add -ier), use two parameters, e.g. on “pretty” and “late”:

pretti gives:

pretty (so sánh hơn prettier, so sánh nhất prettiest)

lat gives:

late (so sánh hơn later, so sánh nhất latest)

If the adjective has an irregular comparative or superlative, specify them, e.g. on “good”:

better gives:

good (so sánh hơn better, so sánh nhất best)

If the adjective is absolute, use “-”, e.g. on “annual”:

- gives:

annual ( không so sánh được)

If the adjective has both an -er/-est and a more/most form of the comparative and superlative, use a “more” parameter after specifying the -er form, e.g. on “abject”:

er gives:

abject (so sánh hơn abjecter or more abject, so sánh nhất abjectest or most abject)

If the adjective has other non-standard comparative or superlative forms or requires custom positive, comparative, or superlative notes, specify the forms with wiki markup, using a head argument for the headword, if required, e.g. on “little known” (fictitious example):

gives:

little known (so sánh hơn depending on meaning either lesser known or littler known, so sánh nhất least known or littlest known)

If the comparative is custom or irregular, and the superlative form is “most” and the adjective, the superlative form can be omitted, eg: on “funky” (fictitious example):

funkier gives:

funky (so sánh hơn funkier, so sánh nhất most funky)

If the adjective is not generally comparable but sometimes is, use - as the first parameter, with subsequent parameters as above. For example (fictitious examples):

- at funky gives:

funky (thường không so sánh được; so sánh hơn funkier, so sánh nhất most funky)

- at abject gives:

abject (thường không so sánh được; so sánh hơn abjecter or more abject, so sánh nhất abjectest or most abject)

When the inflection is unknown or uncertain, use a question mark (?) as the first parameter. Such information can still be added to the entry later, and this avoids having to give potentially false information. This is a fictitious example for Afrikaans:

? gives:

Afrikaans
